The Chelsea Hornets played Pelham Panthers at Pelham high school at 7 p.m. on Friday, September 7, with the visiting Hornets coming out victorious, 36-33.
Chelsea started the game off great by getting the first touchdown of the game. Chelsea held Pelham until they scored two field goals, before each team added a touchdown, to make the score 14-13 in favor of the Hornets.
In the second half Chelsea, did great against Pelham’s defense but struggled to stop the Panthers’ offense. Chelsea scored a touchdown in the game’s final seconds to come away with a 36-33 victory. After the game, The Chelsea Buzz media did a post game interview with Hornets’ head coach Todd Cassity and asked him a few questions.
Chelsea Buzz: “What could have the team done better”?
Coach Cassity: “We could have been better in not allowing the big plays by Pelham”
CB: “What did the team do well”?
CC: “We continued to fight and worked hard to get the win. Our special teams was really good”
CB: “What does the team need to work on”?
CC: “We Need to work on pass defense and get healthy”
CB: “What could you do better as a coach”?
CC: “Just continue to work on calling the best plays possible to put in a position to be successful”.

The Buzz also spoke with junior running back Chase Stracener, who had a huge game in the win, totaling 308 yards and four touchdowns.
Chelsea Buzz: “What do you think you did well”?
Chase Stracener: “I think that I was very well mentally prepared and I did good getting out of bounds on the last drive”
CB: “Do you think the team did well”?
CS: “The team kept a good attitude when the game started looking bad which helped us win it”
CB: “How do you need to improve”?
CS: “I need to do more rehab for my leg (quad injury) I wasn’t able to run full speed or be at full power”
CB: “What do you think the team needs to improve in”?
CS: “The team as a whole needs to be better at finishing games and not leaving windows for the other team to come back”
