Chelsea High School is excited to welcome new and returning students alike to the 2023-2024 school year. It is going to be a great year! The Buzz asked a handful of students about their thoughts on the new school year, ranging from expectations to goals.
A new school year can be full of anticipation, new friends, and fresh possibilities. There is a lot to look forward to.
“I’m looking forward to being able to spend more time with friends, hopefully growing more friendships, and seeing where the year takes me and how far I come from now at the beginning of the year up to the end,” said Adyson Smith.
Others are looking forward to specific fun events at the school.
“I look forward to homecoming and prom, and homecoming week dress up days,” said Erica Parker.
Participating in school events and dances is a great way to show your school spirit and have fun with your time in school.
Of course, it’s important to set goals as well. The beginning of the year is a crucial time to set new goals for yourself. We all have goals, from getting good grades to making new friends.
“My goals for this year are to get decent grades, pass, and finally graduate high school,” said Jayla Coleman.
Smith also said she had some very specific goals for the year.
“My goals for this school year are to, one, know a little more about myself and grow as a person, and two, hopefully figure out what I’d like to do after high school as a career,” she said.
The beginning of the year is full of promise and excitement. Everyone has something to look forward to and we hope to have a great year at Chelsea High School!
