Coach Ryan Adams is an AP US History teacher at Chelsea High School, The Buzz was able to ask him some questions about him and his teaching. Read below to see what he had to say.
Chelsea Buzz: What is one thing on your bucket list? Why?
Ryan Adams: I want to give a Ted Talk. It is a platform that signifies that, one, you have a message, and two, you’re a person worth listening to.
CB: What is the best thing about being a teacher?
RA: The students.
CB: What is the most challenging thing about being a teacher?
RA: The students.
CB: What makes a “good day” at school?
RA: Whenever I have an engaging conversation in at least one of my classes. That generally signifies the atmosphere that we have is what it needs to be.
CB: What would your students be surprised to find out about you?
RA: The only foreign country I have ever been to, no longer exists.
CB: What is your favorite memory of teaching?
RA: In 2017, at the end of the first semester, I was given a podium and a binder of student letters. There were about 20 students in my room to present this to me and it is one of the best memories I ever had.
CB: Where did you go to college?
RA: Alabama.
CB: If you could have any superpower what would it be?
RA: Telekinetic.
CB: Do you like savory food or sweet foods better?
RA: Savory.
CB: What’s your favorite quote?
RA: If service is beneath you, then leadership is beyond you.
CB: What is your favorite Holiday?
RA: Thanksgiving.

RA: Oatmeal Cream Pies or Freezy Pops.
