With volleyball coming to an end, basketball is springing up on us. The hornets are prepared for nothing but wins nothing this season. I interviewed junior basketball player, Matthew Lanzi, about what to expect this season.

Q: When is the first game and who do we play?

A: “First game is November 9th against Vestavia at their place”

Q: What position do you play?

A: “I play small forward and power forward”

Q: Do you think you guys are going to have a good outcome this season?

A: “I do actually. I think we have a shot at winning state this year”

Q: What game are you most excited to play this season?

A: “I’m always super excited to play Briarwood”

Q: Anything else you want to say about the team as a whole?

A: “We’ve worked really hard in the off season and want a huge crowd to be able to perform in front of, so make sure y’all come out to support”

You’ve heard it first. Come support your Hornets this season at the games! #Bluecrew
