These Last Minute Costume Ideas Will Save Your Halloween

Julia Gigis, Staff Writer

The calendar is creeping up on those without a costume. Being less than two weeks ago, the costume supply is growing more and more scarce. These are some last minute costume ideas that you can easily throw together on a budget.

Marty McFly

The heartthrob protagonist of the 1985 classic Back to the Future, Marty McFly sports a red sailor style vest, a denim jacket, and matching blue jeans. The majority of his outfit’s items can be found in your wardrobe. Don’t forget to pair the look with a wrist watch to make for some iconic photo opportunities.

Eleven From Stranger Things

If Halloween wasn’t marked on your calendar, October 27th surely is. Stranger Things season two is just around the corner and there’s no better way to celebrate than dressing up as the  without a doubt recognizable Eleven portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown.  For this look, you’ll need to do some thrift shopping. Any vintage pink dress will do, but aim for a baby doll look with a Peter Pan collar. Throw a blue suede zip up jacket over it, then pick up a box of Ego Waffles from your nearest grocery store and you’re golden.

Comic Book Character

If makeup is your forte, this costume will have you on point. The only thing you need is your makeup vanity. Using eyeliner and colorful eye shadows, you can create a masterpiece on your face. It’s an effortless way to make people think you put a lot of thought into your costume.
