Theatre plans weekend trip to Atlanta

Lilly Christian and Hannah Carlisle

Atlanta is one of the few United States cities with permanent professional centers that performs many performing arts such as Ballet, opera, orchestral, music, and theatre. The Chelsea High School Theatre Program is having it’s first ever trip to Atalanta on October 5th-8th.

“I hope to gain good memories and have a good time with the students.” says Mrs. Gardner as the field trip draws near.

They will be leaving at 1:00 on Thursday, October 5th and will be returning home on Sunday, October 8th. The cost to go on the trip itself is $1165 which will pay for all of the meals and the shows that’ll be watched.

The students will be seeing three different shows, Luzia, Crossing Delancey, and Abigail 1702. The students will also be going backstage, to meet the professional actors/actresses behind it all.

Students will also have a chance to tour the CNN building. All theatre students interested in going to this trip can stop by Mrs. Gardner’s room sometime during the school week to get more information.
