Pair of hat tricks lead boys soccer over McAdory

Chelsea’s boys soccer team opened its season on Tuesday night by knocking off visiting McAdory 8-0 behind a pair of hat tricks.

Junior Eli Alexander and senior LaQuarius Belyeu each scored three goals in the contest to lead the Hornets (1-0). Tony Nettuno and Miles Sharp also added single goals for Chelsea, who stormed to a 6-0 lead at the half before cruising the rest of the way.

Colby Lambert, Markus Frederick, Chris Hill, and Johnny Rivera added assists in the game, which gave coach Lee Miller an opportunity to get many players some experience.

Chelsea will return to play Wednesday, February 10, with a home match against Mountain Brook at 7 p.m. The boys junior varsity will play at 5 p.m.
