Thursday, December 10 was the Chelsea High School Fine Arts Extravaganza. The fine arts department, which consists of Theatre, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Photography, and Art, all showcased their talents that night.

Ninth grader Olivia Hand answered some questions about

“It was really fun. The music gave me chills. My boyfriend sang in the men’s choir and I love the choir.”

When asked what her favorite part of the evening was, she said “ I really loved when the choir and the band performed together. It was amazing!”

Lots of hard work went into preparation for this night. There was a dress rehearsal on Wednesday afternoon to help have an idea of what was going to happen.

The order of appearance was as follows: Concert Band, Women’s Choir, Jazz Band, Men’s Choir, Women’s and Men’s combined, Show Choir, Wind Ensemble, and then Choir joined with Wind Ensemble with the Theatre Department telling jokes in-between each set.

The evening was great for everyone who attended. Coach Trucks made a special appearance as Santa Claus giving out candy canes to audience members.
