The Chelsea High School senior class of 2015 made its final preparations on Monday with the senior luncheon and graduation practice.

The seniors convened at Liberty Baptist Church in Chelsea at 10 a.m. for the annual senior luncheon. The event was catered by Jim N’ Nicks BBQ and gave the Class of 2015 a chance to eat and visit together, while also picking up graduation tickets and viewing a senior slideshow.

After eating, the students loaded five buses and made the trip down Highway 280 to Homewood for graduation practice at Samford University. The seniors practiced for the first time in a new venue. While previous CHHS graduating classes had their ceremony at the Wright Center, the Class of 2015 finally outgrew that venue and moved across campus to the Pete Hanna Center, a larger facility where the Samford basketball teams play their games.

While there, the seniors practiced entering the arena, walking across the stage to receive their diplomas, and exiting the arena. Tomorrow’s official graduation ceremony will be held at 2:30 p.m.  IMG_1435 IMG_1429IMG_1433IMG_1441
