“Fire” by Aaron Roberts

The fire

Burning inside

My fists clench around my fury

But not around my prize

Its desire

To see you fall

It used to be a secret

But now I’m letting it all free

Because you have no power over me

Anymore

There’s not much patience in me to stare

But you

You haven’t paid

You’ve destroyed too many lives

Now you’ll see another

Shade of me

The darkest one

This is the fire

Of the broken son.
