The Chelsea High School football team raced to an impressive season-opening win, knocking off Charles Henderson 51-27 at The Nest.
The Hornets (1-0) jumped out to a 30-7 halftime lead before the two teams played relatively even in the second half.
Chelsea ran for more than 300 yards in the game, with Chase Malone and Morgan Barnes, a pair of senior tailbacks, carrying most of the workload.
Five total Chelsea ball-carriers scored touchdowns in the game, with Malone, Barnes, Hudson Picklesimer, Ethan Reed and Wyatt Wright all hitting paydirt.
Chelsea will return to play on Friday with their first road trip of the season when they take on Wetumpka.
