The Chelsea volleyball team is off to a scorching start this season, racking up a 15-1 record along the way.

The Hornets even rose to the No. 1 ranking in the Class 6A poll earlier this year while winning its first 14 contests. The Hornets are currently ranked No. 4 in the most recent poll.

Cheslea’s team is led by Victoria Schmer, a senior who has already committed to play at the University of Alabama as a college freshman next year.

Also, senior Bailey Drew McIntyre had an outstanding week last week, recording 130 assists, 33 digs, and 14 aces over the course of seven matches.

The volleyball team will be back in action tonight against Helena in an area match. They will also play in the Janiece Calhoun invitational over the weekend.
