CHHS faculty versus the City of Chelsea softball game TONIGHT @ 6pm at the baseball field – donations collected will benefit school programs

Schedule Changes: The last day to submit a schedule change form to the counseling office is Friday, August 17th. All forms and money must be submitted by 3pm that day.

 

Debate: Any student who is interested in speech or debate events this year, please see Mrs. Newman in E103 to get the Google Classroom code. The Vestavia Novice Speech and Debate Tournament is Sept. 22 and students need to start preparing. The PF and LD topics have been posted on Google Classroom Debate/Model UN group and on the NSDA website.

 

Robotics: Any student who is interested in joining the Robotics team, please come see Mr. Huddleston (2nd floor of new building).  We have several open spots – apply soon!

 

PALS: Peer Assisted Learning Supports – interested in developing partnerships with students of different abilities?  See Ms. Lovelace in Room 203 for more information.

 

Softball Tryouts: Monday, August 20 from 3:30-6:00. See Coach Lee in Room 111 for more information. Students need a current physical, the AHSAA Concussion Form, and the ASHAA Consent/Release form in order to participate.

 

FBLA interest meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 21st, during halftime in the Auditorium.

 

College Visit: The University of West Alabama representative will be set up in the lobby Friday, August 17th during Halftime to speak to interested seniors and juniors. Stop by during lunch.

 

All Sports Passes for CHHS students are $50 – please see Coach Stallings for more information

Deadline for membership forms and dues is August 31st. Meetings to announced through Key Club Google Classroom page.

 

Any seniors interested in running for a Senior Class Officer position. We are in need of the following positions:

President – In charge of all meetings, responsible for setting meetings with sponsors and other officers. Lead meetings.

Vice – President – Assist president and primarily in charge of Homecoming and Class t-shirts.

Spirit Chairman – Assist president and primarily in charge of Pep Rallies and Class Spirit..

Treasurer – Assist sponsor with senior class funds

Secretary – Record minutes
