Chelsea High School made the list as one of the top 25 high schools in Alabama according to a report released by U.S. News & World Report.

Chelsea High came in as the 19th-best high school in the state in the rankings.

CHHS also received the designation of a Silver Medal school, which goes to about 11 percent of schools across the nation. Only two percent of high schools receive Gold Medal status. Loveless Academic Magnet School in Montgomery was the only Alabama school to receive that distinction.
