Senior spotlight: William Root

Baylie Hunsaker, Reporter

This time of year is what seniors look forward to. Senior trips, college decisions, prom, spring break, and graduation. As this years senior class is coming to its end in the near future, I decided to interview members of the Class of 2018 about where they are headed, why they are headed there, and what they are most excited for.  Whether they stay in-state or go out, Chelsea, Alabama will always be their home.

Our senior spotlight this week is William Root.

William plays baseball for the Chelsea High School, and cannot wait for baseball season to start. He also wants to make time for his friends before he leaves for college in the fall.

He will miss the small town family feel, and being able to represent Chelsea in athletics.

In the fall, Will will be attending Auburn University to study in computer sciences because it interests him and has a “large demand for the future.”

He says he might rush into a fraternity, but he doesn’t know for sure. He is most excited for the new opportunities for his future and the new people he will meet along the way.
