While sometimes school lunch food can be the butt of a joke or viewed as not very appetizing, that isn’t the case for everything served at Chelsea High School.
The Chelsea Buzz recently polled CHHS students, asking what their favorite foods served in the cafeteria were. The results of that polling revealed some apparent favorites throughout. The polling was anonymous and was both for fun and to gather opinions on an aspect of the school that affects students, teachers, and staff every day.
An immediately popular item was the chicken bites. Both the spicy and regular varieties are very popular options, though it seems the regular ones tend to be more appreciated.
The rolls were an unexpected favorite. The softness of the bread makes them desirable in the eyes of many.
As was likely expected, crispitos received a lot of love. Taco salad was also a popular choice. People love how filling the taco salad is, and having all the different ways to customize it.
“I like the taco salad a lot though because I find it to be a bit more filling than some other foods they have,” said one student responding to the poll. “You also get a choice with what you put on it.”
Pizza, both from the school and Dominos, was a popular pick. The school’s pizza poppers also received some votes.
“The mozzarella sticks are my favorite because the sauce inside is an awesome little surprise,” said Frederick Th0mpson, a CHHS junior.
The spicy chicken sandwich received some votes as well. The chicken sandwiches pair quite well with the Hornet sauce and other sauces that the school provides.
Spaghetti, a personal favorite of at least one Chelsea Buzz reporter, didn’t seem to be as popular as some of the other items.
The school has a wide array of different popular food items. Every single item is likely at least one person’s favorite, so it’s good to appreciate all the different meals available.
