Coach Shunn Bailey is in his third year as the school’s ISS Teacher at Chelsea High School. The Buzz was able to ask him questions. Here’s what he had to say:
Chelsea Buzz: What is something that motivates you?
Coach Bailey: My son, He is 4 years old.
Chelsea Buzz: What was your high school experience like compared to now?
Coach Bailey: Looking back, if I knew then when I was in high school. My mindset would not have been such a headache to my teachers and paid more attention.
Chelsea Buzz: If you weren’t a teacher, what job would you have?
Coach Bailey: A P.E. teacher
Chelsea Buzz: What has been your favorite experience while working here?
Coach Bailey: Mentor to the kids
Chelsea Buzz: How would you describe CHHS to others?
Coach Bailey: It’s a great place to work, as a whole or collectively. Their not bad kids.
Chelsea Buzz: Who is someone from your childhood, teenage years, or early adulthood that you look up to? Why?
Coach Bailey: One of them is my brother, Baba, because he is like a father figure to me, and he is a faithful man and loyal husband to his family.
Chelsea Buzz: Where did you attend college?
Coach Bailey: Wallace Community College Selman, Concordia College Selman
Chelsea Buzz: Did you take any sports during school/college?
Coach Bailey: I played one year of college basketball
Chelsea Buzz: Do you like how this school operates? If not what would you change?
Coach Bailey: I love how this school operates. I love the administration.
