Hornets top Gardendale 1-0 in boys soccer


In a thrilling match-up between the Chelsea High School Hornets and Gardendale High School Rockets, the Hornets emerged victorious with a 1-0 win in boys varsity soccer. The game, which took place on Tuesday, March 14, saw the Hornets dominate the field from the start, with Max Weaver scoring the only goal of the game in the first half.

Weaver’s goal was expertly assisted by Andrew Teixeira, who showcased his skill and precision on the field. But it was not just the Hornets’ offense that shone through in this match. Davis Spencer, a standout player on the Hornets’ defense, had an incredible game with four tackles and seven interceptions, making it difficult for the Rockets to get anywhere near the Hornets’ goal.
