The Junior League of Birmingham awards scholarships to women to support the volunteer and leadership potential for Birmingham’s rising leaders. The number of recipients varies each year based on available funding. Awards are given in amounts ranging from $2,500 to $5,000.

Eligibility: 1) Be a current resident of Jefferson or Shelby County, 2) Enroll as a full or part time student in any private or public accredited two- or four-year college or vocational-technical school for the upcoming academic year, 3) Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, 4) Demonstrate active participation and leadership in community activities, 5) Demonstrate leadership skills and potential for leadership success, 6) Exhibit financial need.
