Weekly Plans: September 24 – 29

This week is Bleeding Love Week – we will raise money for research efforts to cure blood-related cancers such as leukemia – Peer Helpers will sell red wristbands for $5 which will serve as admission for activities Wednesday and Friday

Congratulations to the Marching Hornet Pride for earning all superior ratings at the Pell City Marching Festival this past Saturday! The dance line also earned the Best in Class award and the average of all scores resulted in a third place overall finish in the entire contest.

School picture orders are due to Mr. Ritchie by Friday, September 28th

Monday – Happy Birthday Ms. Dixon, JV football game has been cancelled, “Be the Baum and find a cure” Spirit Night at Baumhower’s at Lee Branch from 5pm-10pm – proceeds benefit Bleeding Love Week, LEAD during Halftime

Tuesday – Happy Birthday Ms. Johnson, Auburn Trip with Helena HS, Cross Country @ Shelby County Championships, Volleyball hosts Gardendale and Homewood @ 4pm, “Make a change with your change” Peer Helpers collect loose change for Bleeding Love Week, FCCLA during Halftime, Spirit Night at Dairy Queen 4pm-8pm benefits CHHS Hornet Pride Band, Coaches’ Show @ Applebee’s @ 6pm

Wednesday – Happy Birthday Ms. Lovelace, “Blood cancer just got served” Student/Faculty volleyball during the first half of Halftime – wristband required, National Art Honor Society during Halftime

Thursday – Volleyball @ Helena, “Beating Cancer one SLICE at a time” Peer Helpers will sell pizza after school, GSA during Halftime, Spirit Night at Whataburger Oh Whata Night 5pm-8pm benefits CHHS football, Auditions/Interviews for Out of the Blue Band and Stage Crew after school

Friday – Bleeding Love assembly during the first half of Halftime – wristband required, FTA meets during Halftime

Saturday – Cross Country @ Oak Mountain Invitational @ Heardmont Park

Teacher Workdays are scheduled for Friday, October 5th and Monday, October 8th

Tuesday, October 16th will be an E-Day for 9th grade students and 11th grade students.  On that day, 10th grade students will take the pre-ACT and 12th grade students will take the ACT WorkKeys
