Every month Chelsea High School chooses one person per grade to be student of the month.

For the month of September, sophomore Allison Bailey had the honor of being the 11th grade representative for the first time. While she told the Buzz she was excited to be student of the month, she didn’t even know about it until her English teacher, Mrs. Parramore, told her.

Allison likes school, and says although at times it’s not very challenging, “it can be busy sometimes.”

Her favorite subject is history, and she looks forward to becoming a history teacher one day.

She left a simple tip for all new high school students and her fellow peers who want to be successful in the classroom: “Do all of your work, and get it in on time.”
