Avery Hanson polled students at Chelsea High School to determine what they were listening to most these days. Here’s what she came up with.

Twenty One Pilots: Known for the song “Stressed out.” Number 1 Billboard 200 debut last month for their latest album “Blurryface.” Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun are the two band members that make incredible music. They are on tour right now. Twenty One Pilots’ is an alternative hip-hop type of band. I asked many people who their favorite band was and the majority said “Twenty One Pilots.”

Sia: Known from her song “Cheap Thrills.” The song “Chandelier,”
was top ten of the Billboard 200. Her music has won many awards
including “The Aria Awards and MTV Music Awards.” She is also on tour.
For her Pop, Indie Pop music.

Pierce the Veil: Is an American rock band from San Diego. This post-hardcore
band has won many awards” Band  of the Year 2013 and Breakthrough
artist of 2010.” They are on tour right now. Their latest album was
released May 13, 2016, called “Misadventures.”

Melanie Martinez: Melanie became famous off of “The Voice.” Her style of music is
electro pop. She is on tour. She was eliminated from the voice of the
fifth week but that was the start of her career. One of her first
songs appeared on the TV show “American Horror Story: Freak Show.”
