Girls soccer finishes 2nd at Lakeshore Shootout

The Chelsea girls’ soccer team went 2-1 last weekend at the Lakeshore Shootout tournament to earn a runner-up finish at the event.

Chelsea earned wins over James Clemens and Shades Valley in the tournament and suffered a loss to Oak Mountain.

In the 3-0 win over James Clemens, Maddie Guillen had two goals, while Haley Greene had one goal and one assist. Sophie Wilson added an assist in the victory.

In a 7-0 win against Shades Valley, Maddie Guillen finished with a hat trick, while Greene added two goals of her own and an assist. Claire Guillen had a goal and two assists, and Calise Long scored the game’s other goal. Lexi Duca chipped in two assists in the win.
